Donna DeLaney Cokenour is best known for her spectacular performance on Season 5 of “America’s Got Talent,” where she blazed her way into the hearts of the judges and viewing audience with her dazzling Samoan fire knife routines. She is also hailed for her appearances on the hit ABC/CMT television show, “Nashville,” as a college professor, neighbor, parent to a vocal contestant, & crowd fan at various filming locations such as the Parthenon, the Ryman Auditorium, & in-house sets for “on the road” concerts.
Supporting actress roles came her way as “Pearl” in the Indie film, “The Racket,” and as “Summer” in “The Galoshes,” now airing on Amazon Prime. She is cast in Disney’s box office smash, “Secretariat,” in race scenes as a hippie, an aristocrat, and a “Big Red” enthusiast. Additionally, she appears in “The Identical,” a City of Peace/Identical Production Company release and as the “Queen” in a rock video. Perhaps her most thrilling portrayal, however, is alongside the legendary Elvis Presley as he sings “Love Me Tender” in “That’s The Way it Is.”
Other credits include: a Lucas Hoge video, “Give a Damn,” the theme song for “Tom’s Wild Life,” where she portrays a mom and shows off her dancing talents; several Life/Time commercials; various CMT musical specials; a student horror film; & numerous Indie films like “Love Chronicles of the Cape,” “Somewhere Between Arnold and Festus,” “SIN,” “Proximity,” “The Boy with The Nose,” and “The Shoe.” Cokenour’s acting accolades encompass a Magnificent Showcase Award for Best Commercial and a National Ideal Miss Award, also for Best Commercial.
